On behalf of Jewish World Watch and the Jewish Federation Valley Alliance, thank you for making the second annual Walk for Darfur a great success! This year over 1400 people joined us in raising awareness about the devestating genocide in Darfur, Sudan. Thanks to your efforts, we have raised over $30,000 to help end the suffering of the people of Darfur!
The growing success of the Walk for Darfur reflects your growing commitment to ending genocide in Darfur. Last year, 400 amazing people attended our Walk, and we raised over $14,000. Because of your dedication and energy, we had over triple the attendence this year!
2007 - 400 people attended, $14,000 raised
2008 - 1400 people attended, $30,000 raised
While we hope it won't be necessary, we have reserved June 7, 2009 for the third Walk for Darfur in the even that conditions do not improve for the refugees and another call to action is needed.
